Charity Rides around the Churches11th September 2004 To raise funds for local churches, Viv, Peter (Morris) and Mark did a sponsored cycle ride.
They were accompanied by Megan, Marian, Lee and Derek. They visited 16 churches on a circular route of about 27 miles.
Overheard...
Derek, standing in the Gents': "I can't find anything in these trousers"
Well done...
To the Yew Tree pub in Barfrestone who have totally banned smoking. Let's hope all other pubs follow their lead.
Not so well done...
Those who didn't look behind and turned the gang of 7 into two gangs of 3, with Viv shuttling between them.
Cribbage was played...
but Peter and Mark are far too polite to announce who won.
